Reasons for Immunodeficiency Screening:

  • 2 or more family members diagnosed with the same genetic conditions
  • Previous personal history of a genetic condition

Our immunodeficiency screening is a medical examination designed to assess an individual's immune system function and identify any specific deficiencies or abnormalities that may be causing recurrent infections or other immune-related health issues. The screening is usually recommended when an individual experiences persistent or frequent infections that may suggest an underlying immune system disorder.

The screening process for immunodeficiency typically involves a physical exam, medical history review, and laboratory tests that target specific areas of the immune system. The tests may include measuring the levels of certain immune cells, evaluating the function of specific immune cells, and assessing the production of antibodies in response to specific antigens.

The results of the focus screening can help healthcare providers identify any specific immune system deficiencies or abnormalities that may be causing recurrent infections or other immune-related health issues. Based on the results, personalized treatment plans can be developed to manage or prevent complications. Treatment plans may include medication, lifestyle modifications, and immunotherapy.
